Defects

When a test fails, AMI files a defect. Every defect has a severity, numbered repro steps, the expected and actual result, and a link to the requirement it breaks.

• Critical blocks a core flow, such as checkout or sign-in.
• Major breaks a feature but leaves a workaround.
• Minor affects polish or rare paths.

The failOn setting decides which severity fails a pull request.

Move a defect through Open, In progress, Fixed (ready for retest), Verified, Reopened, Won't fix or Duplicate. When a run includes the test of a Fixed defect, its result offers one click to mark the defect Verified if the test passed, or to reopen it if the test failed.

Export defects to GitHub Issues or Jira from the defect list, or download them as CSV.
